Understanding Chest Deformities
If your child seems to have an abnormal chest, our team can confirm a diagnosis and document the condition at any age. We have evaluated thousands of children with chest deformities and, in many cases, are able to clearly explain the diagnosis and anticipate the clinical course of the condition.
Most evaluations do not require invasive testing. Physical exams, traditional photography (for males), and 3D surface scanning are our primary diagnostic tools. In some cases, MRI imaging may be used to assess internal structure and monitor progression.
Patients are generally followed at least once a year to monitor growth and changes in the chest wall as the child matures.
